Christmas 2007

I know it is already February, but we have alot of pictures from our travels and vacation in Southern California. It took us quite awhile to sort through everything, but I think you'll find it was worth the wait. Our journey started on 19 Dec from Naha Airport here on Okinawa. Where we caught the "Pokemon Express" to Tokyo. It's one of several Al Nippon Airline planes painted like the famed cartoon creatures. The Troop absolutely loved it, Nikolas in particular. Once in Tokyo we took a bus on a 2 hr. ride through the city from one huge airport to the other. Then we boarded our UA flight bound for Los Angeles USA, where Logi found several unique methods for sleeping comfortably in economy seats. Mama and Dada had packed several fun activities in their backpacks for the trip so they had plenty to do on the 9-10 hr flight. Note: Anne and I noticed a distinct difference in service from the Japanese flight attendants to the American ones. We were very happy to arrive in LA and get off the plane, where the Troop was greeted by Omi and Uncle Michael and the largest Sprinter van on the west coast (aka Polar Express). After throwing our bags into its cavernous back cabin the Troop was loaded up in car seats and treated to the movie "Polar Express" on the 17" screen complete with cordless headphones! Off to Uncle Michael and Aunt Marsha's house in Brentwood where Santa will have to figure out which of the three chimneys to come down!
